A solar Photovoltaic (PV) system captures solar radiation through a group of cells that are a part of a module or "panel". These cells create electricity and then this electricity is pumped back out to your electric panel and back to your local utility. You become an energy producer instead of an energy user (imagine how fun it is to wach the meter go backwards as you send back energy for use later).
